Where's the eye bleach.
Never thought I'd be blogging about a pop star. Miley's little performance at the VMA's was utterly foul. It far surpassed raunchy and dove headfirst into a sludgey, shame-filled gutter.
I see all these people everywhere saying, "She's not a kid anymore, get over it."
Because apparently once you're not a 'kid anymore' it's a good idea to go around in public half-naked acting like a dog in heat. There's this thing called a higher consciousness that separates humans from animals, but it looks like Miley misplaced hers and is now on par with an ovulating cat during a full moon.
Whatever happened to virtue? Or even the simple act of being tactful? Having class? Oh, I forgot, she "can't stop". It's honestly as if she thinks that being as vile as possible makes her somehow unique. People have been disgusting since the dawn of time but not being able to control yourself has never and will never be something to be proud of.
I just pray that my girls never sell themselves so short. I pray that when they inevitably encounter someone exhibiting this type of behavior they recognize it as the pitiful charade of a person who has no respect for herself. Worse, a person who has no idea who they even are. Desperation is not a pretty thing.
